Dark chocolate oatmeal cookies

These Dark Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies are the perfect combination of rich dark chocolate and hearty oats! 🍫🌾 With every bite, you get a satisfying crunch and a touch of sweetness—ideal for a healthier dessert or snack. 😋


Ingredients:

🌾 1 1/2 cups rolled oats

🍫 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (70% or higher)

🍯 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey

🧈 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

🥚 1 large egg

🧂 1 tsp vanilla extract

🥄 1/2 tsp baking soda

🧂 1/4 tsp salt

🥄 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)


Instructions:


1️⃣ Preheat the oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 🍽️


2️⃣ Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the oats, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). 🌾🧂


3️⃣ Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, melted coconut oil, egg, and vanilla extract. 🍯🥚


4️⃣ Combine the mixtures: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the dark chocolate chips. 🍫


5️⃣ Shape the cookies: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of a spoon. 🍪


6️⃣ Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the cookies are firm. ⏳


7️⃣ Cool & serve: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. 🍽️
